Federico Nicolás Maciel
Geography Teacher and
Research Methods Teacher
- My name is Federico Nicolás Maciel. I am a political scientist and educator deeply committed to teaching, research, and social impact. I was born in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, and from an early age, I understood the power of knowledge as a tool for both personal and collective transformation. I earned my degree in Political Science from the National University of Córdoba, where I also began my teaching journey through the Student Social Commitment Program. That experience sparked my passion for education and inspired me to continue teaching in secondary schools, both in Córdoba and my hometown.
To complement my academic background, I pursued several specialized programs in key areas such as Artificial Intelligence applied to education, Data Science, Parliamentary Management, Business with China, and New Energy Technologies. Today, I work as a secondary school teacher, columnist for a national media outlet, and researcher at leading institutions such as UNC and UBA.
My profile blends pedagogical commitment with a critical perspective on contemporary political, technological, and social processes. I believe in education as a powerful tool to build a fairer future, in science as a guide for public decision-making, and in the need to innovate in teaching practices with 21st-century tools.

I began my teaching journey as part of the Student Social Commitment Program at the National University of Córdoba, where I led workshops and supported students in underserved communities. These experiences allowed me to develop a student-centered approach, with a strong focus on inclusion and critical thinking.
Currently, I work as a secondary school teacher in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, where I teach social sciences and research-oriented workshops. My teaching style integrates active methodologies and digital tools, including AI-assisted resources, to foster student engagement and autonomy. I am passionate about mentoring students and helping them build meaningful learning experiences that connect classroom knowledge with real-world issues.
