- Brief Summary of Your Research Interests.
- I am interested in organic and peptide synthesis, glycan chemistry, and nanomaterial design for biomedical applications. My current research focuses on developing a novel cancer vaccine candidate using synthetic peptides and carbohydrates, with the goal of enhancing targeted immune responses. I am also passionate about analytical chemistry techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, and NMR, which contribute to precision in pharmaceutical research and quality control.
- Please describe your past experience mentoring or teaching students.
- I have over three years of experience in teaching and guiding students at both high school and university levels. I worked as a Chemistry Teacher at a preparatory school in Mozambique from 2020 to 2023, where I helped high school students understand complex topics in general, organic, and physical chemistry, often leading them to succeed in national exams and university entrance tests. Additionally, I served as a Teaching Assistant at Eduardo Mondlane University, supporting undergraduate students in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Thermodynamics, conducting tutorials, and helping them build a strong foundation in scientific thinking and laboratory practices. My teaching approach focuses on fostering curiosity, encouraging experimentation, and connecting chemistry to real-world applications, making science engaging and meaningful for students of all levels.
